Classes, Tastings, and More!

Topics range from the broad (like our Wine 101 classes every spring and fall) to the hyper-specific (Wines of the Canary Islands, anyone?). We offer themed classes, comparative tastings, food and wine events, and even patio parties!

Upcoming Events

  • Wine 101: Back to Basics

    Friday 9 January | 6:00 PM

New to wine, or just want to sharpen your skills? This class is your crash course in tasting, talking about, and truly enjoying wine. We’ll cover the basics—how to swirl, sniff, and sip with intention—while exploring the major grape varieties and styles that form the foundation of the wine world. Expect a fun, approachable session that will leave you more confident choosing bottles, pairing with food, and finding what you actually like to drink. No pretension, no intimidation—just good wine, good company, and the start of a lifelong love affair with the vine.

  • Timeless Barolo: The Beauty of Age

    Sunday 11 January | 6:00 PM

Barolo is legendary for its power, structure, and uncanny ability to age—but what does that really taste like in the glass? In this class, we’ll explore Nebbiolo’s transformation over time with a rare side-by-side of younger and mature Barolo bottlings. You’ll see how the wine evolves from fierce tannins and vibrant fruit into haunting aromas of roses, truffle, and earth. We’ll break down why Barolo has earned its reputation as one of the world’s most age-worthy wines, and why patience is always rewarded. This is a rare chance to taste history and understand why Barolo is truly timeless.

  • Rhône Rivalry: North vs. South

    Sunday 18 January | 6:00 PM

One river, two very different worlds. In this comparative tasting, we’ll explore the steep granite slopes of the Northern Rhône—home to Syrah in all its peppery, elegant glory—against the sun-drenched vineyards of the Southern Rhône, where Grenache-led blends bring warmth, spice, and generosity. From Côte-Rôtie to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, you’ll taste how geography, climate, and tradition create strikingly different expressions under the same regional banner. It’s a side-by-side that shows why the Rhône is one of the most dynamic and diverse wine regions on the planet.

  • Bubbles beyond Champagne: Crémants of France

    Sunday 25 January | 6:00 PM

Champagne may steal the spotlight, but France’s sparkling story doesn’t end there. From the Loire to Alsace, Burgundy to Bordeaux, Crémants deliver all the festive fizz with their own regional flair—often at a fraction of Champagne’s price. In this class, we’ll taste our way through France’s sparkling alternatives, exploring how grapes and terroir shape styles from crisp and citrusy to rich and toasty. Perfect for holiday toasts, dinner parties, or just a Tuesday night, Crémant proves that not all bubbles need to break the bank to feel celebratory.

  • Terroir Tales: Lakes & Streams

    Sunday 1 February | 6:00 PM

Not all great wines come from coastal breezes—sometimes it’s the cool hush of lakes and rivers that shapes what’s in your glass. In this session, we’ll explore how freshwater influences everything from grape ripening to acidity, diving into regions like the Finger Lakes, Wachau, Valle d’Aosta, and more. Expect crisp whites, expressive reds, and a deeper appreciation for the way waterways carve both landscapes and flavor profiles.

  • Not Your Abuela's Manchego: Spanish Wine & Cheese

    Thursday 5 February | 6:00 PM

Sure, Manchego is fine. But Spain has so much more to offer—and Brian is here to prove it, one creamy, crumbly, wine-soaked bite at a time.

Join us for a class that journeys through the lesser-known wine and cheese pairings of Northern and Eastern Spain: from the green hills of Galicia to the peaks of the Pyrenees and the breezy Mediterranean coast. We’ll explore sheep, cow, and goat’s milk cheeses you’ve probably never heard of—but won’t forget—and the wines that make them sing.

Along the way, Brian will cover how these cheeses are just as terroir-driven as the wines, and the delicious ways geography, tradition, and a little funk come together in each pairing. There will be crumbs. There will be stories. There might be tears (of joy, probably).

  • Bordeaux & Beyond: A Comparative Tasting

    Sunday 22 February | 6:00 PM

What happens when Bordeaux’s classic grapes pack their bags and set down roots in the New World?

In this side-by-side tasting, we’ll compare white and red Bordeaux proper to wines from around the world that feature traditional Bordeaux Blends. Explore wines from places like California, Chile, South Africa, Australia, and beyond. You’ll see how the same blends express themselves differently depending on soil, climate, and winemaking philosophy.

Is Old World elegance your style, or do you lean toward New World power? This class will sharpen your palate, deepen your knowledge, and maybe even challenge a few assumptions along the way.
